On this past Saturday, April 23rd, I fished a club tournament with the Pee Dee Bass Masters Club on Lake Wateree in SC. I prepped all week – tying my lines, practicing my casting, and reviewing videos on Bass University. I was FOCUSED!!! The weather forecast was perfect – it was cool – not cold, and the wind was calm. I left out at dark o’thirty to make the almost 3-hour drive. I walked away placing 2nd in the tournament, AND I finished with the Biggest Bass. The video is me landing the winning fish. I went back to basics and went with the bait that I am confident with throwing – the weightless Senko worm. Interesting, I noticed that the bass was on boat docks…but not just any boat dock. The bass preferred docks with square pilings versus round pilings
CONGRATULATIONS Johnnie Lawson… my brother was surely smiling down on you… wish he could have been there 😢
1st place is on the horizon 👌 XOXO
